About Us
David White and Lois Takahashi started Rosalynd Winery with their 2007 Russian River Valley pinot noir vintage, and have expanded the wine offerings to include a Napa Carneros chardonnay and Napa Carneros pinot noir. Rosalynd Winery’s name is drawn from a character in David’s mystery “The Good Life: A Chris Garrett Novel” (2007). Click here to purchase his novel from Amazon.com.
David G. White has pursued countless career paths including, prune and pistachios harvesting, deli worker, delivery van driver, accountant, archery arrow manufacturer, professional deck refinisher, ski instructor, Alaskan salmon fishery manager, bush plane outfitter, English tutor, editorial assistant for an academic journal, playwright, screenwriter, news columnist, publisher, and finally winemaker, resisting the urge to write his first novel, The Good Life, A Chris Garrett Novel for as long as possible. David graduated from the Professional Writing Program at University of Southern California and writes a blog Notes from Napa Valley. When not making wine at Rosalynd Winery in the Napa Valley, David is fast at work on the next Chris Garrett novel, The Perfect Vineyard.
Lois Takahashi is David’s partner at Rosalynd Winery, spouse, and all around helper (helps hold hoses, helps clean bins, helps keep track of paperwork). While she is not helping David in winemaking and conducting winery tours, she is a Professor in Urban Planning and Asian American Studies at UCLA, where she has taught since 2001.
